At present all discussions on the PC game is DirectX 10 graphics. New materials and new DX10 games everyone hum of a new era in PC gaming. But it's all a little premature celebration?

Yes and no!

As with any new technology there is a period of time before everything reaches, before the new technology is truly integrated into the old, in that case, gaming systems. The big question on everyone's mind (especially players) How much time to wait before that provides DirectX 10 graphics?

In other words, how long is the time elapsed before Performance (what you see in the games) is equated with DX10 graphics technology finally deliver?

For the ordinary consumer who is not a coach or a player has gone all the fuss about X10 Graphics can be really confusing to say the least. Demystifying the simplest terminology can be a challenge.

First, you must understand DirectX is a Microsoft technology that lets Windows perform better in sound and graphics for playing games or watching videos on your computer. In the past we had different versions of DirectX ... DirectX 8, DirectX 9, and the introduction of Windows Vista will have DirectX 10.

DX10 Graphics gives better performance and graphic quality, with better, higher resolution images, with more shading and detail. This simply means better image quality and overall performance, a real step forward for realistic games.

At the heart is the DirectX API (Application Programming Interfaces) that can simplify as a bridge or a form of hardware and software to "talk" to each other. These give multimedia applications such as (3-D) graphics acceleration, mixing, audio output and other functions.

We see now more powerful DirectX 10 GPU part of high-level graphics and Nvidia with their 8800 series, including the GeForce NVIDIA GeForce 8800 and GeForce 8800 GTS. The GPU (Graphics Processing Units) will give a better game with better image quality and performance. HD DVD and Blu-ray video playback is still possible.

RockDirect moves higher as the UK are now all DX 10 graphics performance in its gaming machines. You will also find a large number of specialists from the biggest games, such as Alienware, Vigor, Sager and sporting DX 10 graphics.

Present and future of compatible games DirectX 10, including Crysis, Shadowrun, World Conflict and Company of Heroes.

Nor do you think DirectX 10 only for the players, the PC user also will benefit in general better graphics and performance. For example, the ability to play and enjoy HD DVD and Blu-ray video playback on your PC.

Perhaps one of the biggest advantages of DirectX 10 graphics, it makes it much easier for designers and developers create games games. For a discussion more detailed technical aspects of this section, you can try Microsoft's game developer presentations here:

The remains still - What DirectX 10 graphics worthy of all hoopala or noise?

Yes, but takes some time before the true benefits are fully appreciated by the players and the general public. As more DX10 games are developed and better hardware to play are available, the potential expect a better game to achieve.

But it can be a bit of catching up before the real benefits. Many players complain that at present most the material is more suitable for DX9 Graphics. Here's an interesting debate the details of this subject made by X-bit Labs entitled "Contemporary vs. DirectX 10 games Graphic "http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/directx10-games.html

The implementation of any new technology takes time, as the old technology is gradually replaced by the new. Just compare to this is, moving from VHS to DVD and now Blu-Ray, maintenance before the latest technology has a bit of time to catch up. Figure DX9 eventually lose ground in DirectX Graphics 10.

Therefore, it may take a moment of DirectX 10 graphics offers the potential of gaming experience, but there is no doubt that this technology is the future of games. You can only take some time before game developers and hardware to take all their weapons locked and loaded to give the best gaming experience.
