Shadowrun 4th Edition
Has anyone played Shadowrun 4th Edition RPG and if so, how it compares with the original (1st)?
Each edition Shadowrun strokes to advance the date of a number of years. In the 4th edition, 2070. First, I think it was 2054 (?). Third edition was 2065. As history has made little progress. Rules wise, the points system is more advanced. Mechanisms game is now much easier. Your Target Number (TN) is now always 5 or 6 in a D6. Your skills and position determines the number of d6 to roll you. Simple mechanical means of combat is fairly easy and quick once you reach the fall it. The Matrix is now wireless. Thus, "Deckers are now called" hackers "again. Otaku, or people who can access the array without a computer, which is now called technomancers Racing. still human, elves, dwarves, trolls and work. Statistics are a little simpler. The generation of characters are pure points system, so you can imagine that whatevery. Karma is a bit different, however, is easier to use and control. You just use karma points to improve the statistics and abilities. The old rules have changed so that the adventures do not work very well. It is the reconstruction of each statistic and the NPC. In general, simply faster and easier. The differences I have seen so far, really go a long way toward what is easier to things and advance the story. FASA was acquired by KidGames (?) And allowed FanPro RPG. Last week, announced that FanPro and Kid Company called immediarely assume the RPG song. BattleTech immediarely runs the fansite. All sides seem quite satisfied with it. In addition, due in June '07 is the first-person shooter for Xbox and PC. It will be the first game for people on the platform or play against each other.
